The Eyrie by Feliche The Eyrie by Feliche
The Eyrie, stronghold of House Arryn, from George R. R. Martin's novel saga 'A Song of Ice and Fire'.

Another concept work for an ASoIaF castle. The Eyrie, far above the Vale of Arryn. I first made a view where all the mountain was in sight, but finally I chose a close view of the fortress. I'm sure you can find the Sky Cells...

Made in Bryce 7.

"As High As Honor" indeed. There's a sense of both starkness and majesty that I think is incredibly fitting for the home of House Arryn.

Three things:

1.) The mist, that eagle, the chain, and everything else is superb.

2.) I'm guessing the Sky cells are in a different castle. x3

3.) The people in this comment section are hilarious. :3

3.5) Most defiently a favouite.

Although it's not hard to find ASOIAF related artworks, Castles and landscapes are rare. Especially with such quality!Seeing the buildings this way really improves the reading experience, specially because, in my mind, I just couldn't picture any of them!
Very good!Keep doing your great art!

Another grand castle!
Interestingly, what is the time goes at you on modeling?

Thanks, Alexey!!
About time, well it depends on the castle and landscape. I use to do them in one day or two, depending on the hours in front of the computer. But remember: Once you have a tower, you have them all. Once you have a row of bettlements, you have all. In this case, for example, I played with seven sided columns and pyramids too (the part under the dome is almost entire done with this...).

Ha-ha! I will make the castle for six months, and then not have the patience to finish. :)

But that's great!!!! A thing I do is always use grey or not much colored textures. I also play a bit with the fog to hide some Bryce "unrealities" xD

Yes. I noticed that there is too much fog. Although long distance procedural textures look very good.
